Actually, the clip wasn't meant to illustrate IdrA's analysis or commentary, but rather the blunt nature with which he approaches observing and playing the game. His actual analysis on NASL reflects that, he does not dress up in-game situations for the camera. He isn't afraid to point out sub par play.

ROFL The example of Idra's "commentary" given contains nothing but clicking and bashing. THAT's the analysis you are all crooning over? Idra maybe a good player (I think he's an arrogant elitist ass regardless from what I've seen) but that was NOT commentating, granted again he was playing but TERRIBLE example of his commentating.

Well said, herp.

This article points out exactly why casters like TotalBiscuit suck. They portray everything as epic with little depth and sugar coat the entire games to make them exciting. In short, they are the Justin Beiber of casters. All smoke, no substance. To those of us who want substance this sucks. To those who just want e-sports to get bigger and have a bunch of retarded fans who don't understand anything, they get what they want in TB. Personally, I don't want a zillion fans like physical sports that don't know anything and cheer for a team based on irrational loyalty to the generally local team. I would rather have a solid group of thinking people who root for players!.

I've never heard anyone in an SC2 non team league root for a specific team. Even in team leagues they are rooting for teams because they like a specific player, and that is how ALL sports should be.

I love the Idra commentary.. I love his stream, I love every entertaining thing about him and the games he plays. Best choice the NASL has had, to get Greg casting games. Love it. I like the predictions and game analysis. Player backgrounds during the initial game would be awesome.

Keep it real. Don't try to entertain... just let us enjoy your enjoyment of the game. And if the games suck ... let us laugh with you!!! Great community, lets keep it growing!

Yes, the tasteosis criticism of bit by bit really reinforces your point. The gsl casting got more entertaining as artosis kept on saying how bad bitbybit was.

I don't think that casters should apologize for less exciting games. Its not their fault that players derp too hard during a game. This can actually be a good situation if the caster can make good jokes at the player's expense. Incontrol's casting of the Battle in the Bronze games were very entertaining, and he pulled no punches.
