Fans are excited to get a look into the past of Joe, Cherry, and Adam.

The SK8 The Infinity original anime was an instant hit when it came out back in 2021. Revolving around a dangerous underground skating competition called ‘S’, the story follows Reki, a young and ambitious skater who is incredibly enthusiastic about winning. He meets Langa, a Canadian-Japanese boy who turns out to be a genius at skating. Their friendship starts to progress as more characters from ‘S’, such as Joe, Cherry, Shadow, and Miya join their group. However, Adam, the organiser of ‘S’, proves to be a huge problem for everyone.

The sweet and funny nature of the show, paired with its amazing animation, immediately made the audience love it. An OVA titled ‘Extra Part’, highlighting Joe and Cherry’s high-school life, and Reki and Langa’s shenanigans after the original anime is set to be aired across theatres on Friday, January 24, 2025. The Blue-Ray version of the same will be released on Wednesday, March 19, 2025. The OVA is supposed to be 25 minutes long, but the theatrical release will also include a compilation of the first season, making it a one-hour special.
