Kinnikuman is making a comeback! Announced during the Kinnikuman Superhuman Festival 2025 event last Sunday, 4 August, the third season of the anime, titled “Kinnikuman Perfect Origin Arc”, is officially now in production.

Although new season's production has been confirmed, there are no details yet regarding the planned broadcast window for Kinnikuman’s third season.
It has been revealed however, that the third season will pick up where the second season, which aired in 2024, left off. It will depict the aftermath of the battle at the Tottori Sand Dunes special ring between Kinnikuman, Buffaloman, and the Justice-Demon Alliance against Nemesis and the Perfect Infinite Army.
Additionally, the anime confirmed that character songs for the Kinnikuman Perfect Origin Arc are also now in production, although the characters themselves are still up in the air.
Voice actor Mamoru Miyano is taking on the role of Kinnikuman, while the original Kinnikuman voice actor, Akira Kamiya, will be taking on the roles of Kinniku Mayumi and Prince Kamehama.

Kinnikuman adapts the original manga by artist duo Yudetamago, which was published by Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump from 1979 to 1987, The manga is one of the best-selling titles of all-time with over 78 million copies in circulation as of 2024. Viz Media distributes the series in English, under the title “Ultimate Muscle”.

Kinnikuman, a useless superhuman who lives on Earth, dreams of becoming a hero respected by humans, and fights the space monsters that attack the Earth every day, but loses every battle. He is so weak that he is even ridiculed. Still, he lives in harmony with the people and continues to fight monsters, determined to one day get revenge. Then, a boy named Meat arrives from Planet Kinniku, far away in space. According to him, Kinnikuman is actually a prince who went missing from the prestigious Planet Kinniku!
