The eighth and final season of the anime will premiere on 4 October.
A month ago, on the series protagonist Izuku Midoriya’s birthday, My Hero Academia Season 8 announced its 4 October, 2025 release date. After several weeks of the news, the official website and social media accounts of the My Hero Academia anime finally released a full-length trailer of the upcoming season. The exciting preview looks incredible and is making people hopeful about a phenomenal ending as this is the final season of the beloved series.
My Hero Academia Season 8 first new trailer looks amazing
Over the years, My Hero Academia has been accused of having inconsistent animation quality. Thankfully, it was fixed in the 7th season as the visuals were amazing all throughout. It seems that the 8th and final season of the anime will continue that legacy if the stunning trailer is anything to go by. The final battle between Izuku Midoriya and Shigaraki looks thrilling. The trailer also included some emotional moments, and fans can fully expect to bawl their eyes out when the season finally drops.
The trailer also features the season’s opening theme song ‘REVO’ by Porno Graffiti. Not only does the song match the hype of the season, but Porno Graffiti was also the artist of My Hero Academia Season 1’s theme song “The Day”. The way this anime has tied together the beginning and the end of the series is a masterclass. Overall, the new trailer has increased the hype of the finale even more than before.
Crunchyroll streams all seasons of anime right now and will also stream the final season. The My Hero Academia anime is based on Kohei Horikoshi’s manga series, which came to an end last year. Viz Media publishes the manga in English and describes the story as:

High School for budding heroes, his life is looking more and more like a dead end. Then an encounter with All Might, the greatest hero of them all, gives him a chance to change his destiny…
