Yūko Kaida, Shunsuke Sakuya, and M.A.O are joining the cast.
Kaiju No. 8 Season 2 is one of the Summer 2025 season’s most popular battle anime. The first six episodes of the series are out and have been a massive hit amongst the fans. Ahead of the release of the next episode, the official website and social media accounts of the anime announced that some new voice actors will be joining the cast.

The new voice actors joining the project are:
- Second Division Captain Jura Igarashi voiced by Yuko Kaida
- Fourth Division Captain Jugo Ogata voiced by Shunsuke Sakuya
- Fourth Division Vice-Captain Toko Kirimori voiced by M・A・O
The Kaiju No. 8 anime is adapted from Naoya Matsumoto’s manga of the same name which ended a few weeks ago. Production I.G. produces the anime with Shigeyuki Miya and Tomomi Kamiya directing it. Ichiro Okouchi handles series composition while Tetsuya Nishio is the character designer and chief animation director. Shinji Kimura is the art director while Mahiru Maeda designs the monsters. Yuta Bandoh is the music composer of the anime.

The story revolves around Kafka Hibino, a 32-year-old longing to join The Defense Force and make good on his promise to a childhood friend, Mina Ashiro. He befriends a new coworker Reno Ichikawa, while cleaning up Kaiju remains, whose determination to join The Defense Force inspires Kafka to fulfill his childhood promise to pass the entrance exam and join Mina to protect humanity. When a small Kaiju burrows itself inside Kafka, he gains superhuman strength and powers fit for fighting Kaiju. He works to earn the trust of his human teammates, defeat increasingly powerful Kaiju, and keep the world safe.
