The Isekai comedy series just released a short trailer ahead of the premiere.

The official website and X (formerly Twitter) account of the Uglymug, Epicfighter series revealed that it’ll air on 6 July, 2025. Which means this is your sign to add it to your Summer 2025 anime list. The new PV gives fans an idea about what to expect from this epic comedy.

The main cast of the anime includes:
- Shigeru Yoshioka voiced by Junichi Suwabe (Ryomen Sukuna in Jujutsu Kaisen, Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez in Bleach)
- Seika voiced by Konomi Inagaki (Mina in My Wife Has No Emotions, Naka Hikage in You Are Ms. Servant)
- Seiji voiced by Kento Shiraishi (Falsch in Sousou no Frieren, Death Gatling in One Punch Man)
- Leeds voiced by Maaya Uchida (Seika Ijichi in Bocchi the Rock!, Shinobu Miyake in Urusei Yatsura)
Produced by Egg Firm, the anime adaptation is being animated by White Fox. Toshiyuki Sone is directing the series with Kenta Ihara as series composer. Miki Matsumoto is the character designer while Ryo Kawasaki is the music composer.
Based on Ryō Hiromatsu’s web novel series which ran from 2015 to 2022, Uglymug, Epicfighter is an Isekai fantasy anime. It focuses on Shigeru Yoshioka, an ex-salaryman who somehow ends up in a fantasy world. However, his ugly face and body means no girls are attracted to him. The fact that women’s touches cause him pain doesn’t help either. But one thing Shigeru has going for himself is his immense strength.
