Seiko identifies the villain as a Smoke Yokai called Enenra.
Fans of the Dandadan manga were really looking forward to seeing the 1v1 between Seiko Ayase and this arc’s overarching villain Count Saint-Germain. However, it didn’t really go as hoped and everyone’s favourite Granny ended up being thoroughly beaten by the evil character. With Vamola and Momo being busy dealing with the Ninjas, it seems the only one who can get Seiko out of Count Saint-Germain’s grasp alive is Evil Eye.

Dandadan Chapter 203 recap
The issue begins with Count Saint-Germain attacking Seiko with full force. She tries to counter it, but the space is immediately filled with smoke and he attacks her again. Seiko realises that the man is aiming for her vitals with immense power. However, the trajectory of his moves is easy to read, and she hits him back. Shockingly, her fists go right through his body as if it’s made of smoke. Saint-Germain turns around and lands a massive hit on Seiko, sending her crashing into the wall.
With her body already weak from her previous fight, Seiko can’t counter the man’s attacks. When Saint-Germain approaches her, she identifies him as Enenra, a Smoke Yokai from Japanese legends. Saint-Germain doesn’t answer and puts his foot on Seiko’s broken ribs. He asks her to admit defeat as she can’t win against him. Seiko says that his ability is a sham, which causes the villain to kick her away again.
Elsewhere in the building, Momo hears the sound of crashing and wonders if her grandmother is okay. But she can’t focus too much on it as she and Vamola are surrounded by Ninjas trying to take them down. The scene again moves to Seiko, who’s lying on the ground with her mouth filled with blood. A wall of smoke gathers on top of her and it soon changes into Saint-Germain. She screams from pain, and the villain tells her that she won’t have to suffer like this if she admits defeat.
He says that he admires her spirit, but every living being that has a body fears death. He wonders if her conviction will also be destroyed if he destroys her body enough. As Seiko screams, Saint-Germain says that he wishes to see her beg for mercy and admit defeat. But suddenly, there’s a crash as the wall breaks apart. Saint-Germain looks at the newcomer in surprise. In the final panel, we see Evil Eye dragging a Ninja behind him as he asks how long he has to wait.
Dandadan Chapter 203 review
Granny Seiko caught up really fast with Saint-Germain’s underhanded methods. But I still can’t understand if he’s an actual Yokai or an alien who is using the Yokai powers he steals. As he is employing people to steal others’ supernatural abilities, it’s likely the second option. In that case, he might have more tricks up his sleeve. Thankfully, Evil Eye is here, and with how strong he is, it will be hard for Saint-Germain to defeat him. Hopefully, Seiko will be able to come up with a plan before it’s too late for Momo. It’s likely we’ll see how Momo and Vamola are faring soon as well!
