Yor and Loid’s feelings for each other seem to be completely different.
The latest chapter of Tatsuya Endo’s Spy x Family manga just revealed an incredible update. After waiting for so long, Yor finally manages to admit her feelings for Loid to herself and to Anya. Although Loid is yet to realise his feelings and keeps focusing on his mission, we can feel that the Forger family dynamics are about to change.

The issue begins with Yor’s three co-workers ganging up on her and asking her who the man they saw her with. When she understands they’re talking about Hemlock, Yor is at a loss and looks to Mr. McMahon for help. The manager calls Hemlock over to the office and introduces him as a new employee Mr. Jones.
He says that Jones was only handing Yor a sample product from a client when the women saw them. Hemlock is shocked and doesn’t want to mix with the crowd as he values his solitude. However, McMahon says that he and the Shopkeeper have both agreed that he needs to improve his social skills and have arranged for Hemlock to work in the office.
Suddenly, Yor’s coworker seems very interested in Hemlock aka Mr. Jones, and asks him for his number. He rudely replies that he doesn’t own a phone. The other coworkers try to talk her down as he seems like a jerk. However, Millie doesn’t want to give up and keeps asking him questions, and offers to have dinner together. Yor is relieved but McMahon says if Hemlock doesn’t fit the role, he’ll be transferred. This is because not everyone is cut out to act in certain roles.
The scene moves to Loid, who is at his workplace. He is brought out of his stupor by his handler Sylvia Sherwood. She asks what’s wrong with him and he apologises and presents his report. His other coworker asks if he’s distracted because of his wife. Loid thinks about what happened on their date. The male coworker says that Operation Strix has been nothing but a hassle. Fiona Frost suggests that next time, they rename the operation and she can act as Loid’s wife indeed. Surprisingly, Loid agrees.
Sherwood tells him to be more careful as they’ll lose their chance of arresting Desmond if he missteps. She also tells him to keep Yor in her current position as any significant change can arouse suspicion. Fiona is disappointed but Loid once again starts remembering what happened during his date with Yor. In the end, he decides to get to know her better first.
We then get an update on Anya, who gets into another argument with Damian. When Damian leaves yelling at her, Becky asks Anya to put her hand on her chest and tell the truth about what she really feels about him. Anya says that she’s an honest and good girl, and Damian is a jerk. When she comes back home, Yor welcomes her in and even helps her with her homework. When Anya points it out, Yor says she just picked some things from when Loid teaches her. She also praises him.
After that, Yor asks where Anya and Loid lived before she joined the family. Anya lies that she doesn't remember well since she was young. Anya suddenly asks if Yor is interested in Loid. Yor is flustered and says that their marriage is just on paper. Anya tells her to be honest and put her hand on her heart and talk about what she really feels about Loid.
As she puts her hand on her heart, Yor realises her love for Loid. She then tells Anya that she’s probably in love with him. Anya doesn’t really understand what kind of love she’s talking about. Yor laughs and says that unlike Anya, she’s not a good girl and makes her daughter promise not to tell Loid about it. Later, Loid comes back home and Yor welcomes him in. Yor thinks that even if she’s acting selfish and doesn’t actually deserve this life, she wants to protect this place at all costs.

Yor finally admitting her feelings for Loid was an insane update to this manga after such a long burn. I’m only worried about what will happen when Loid finds out about it, as he’s still only focusing on his job. As long as he keeps viewing his fake family as a means to an end, I don’t see any romantic development happening between him and Yor. But if he comes to his senses soon, we might just gate to see some romance after this incredible slow burn. Although admitting her feelings to herself and her daughter was a huge step for Yor, nothing won’t happen until the other party also reciprocates her love.
