Disney+ Japan has revealed the premiere date for the highly anticipated anime adaptation of Disney-Twisted Wonderland! The first season of the series is gearing up for a 29 October release, and will exclusively stream on the Disney+ platform.
The news, which was posted on X (formerly Twitter), also revealed that the series will consist of eight episodes, and will release new episodes every Wednesday after its premiere.
Disney Twisted-Wonderland The Animation Season 1 details
The anime adapts the Disney Twisted-Wonderland mobile game developed by f4samurai. It was created by Aniplex and Walt Disney Japan, with Yana Toboso, creator of Black Butler, in charge of the original story plan, main script, and character design.
The game is also adapted into four different manga within the same continuity, each focusing on a different dorm. The first manga is called Episodes of Heartslabyul, the second is called Episodes of Savannaclaw, the third is dubbed Episodes of Octavinelle, and the last one is Episodes of Scarabia. Each manga was made by a different author, making it a different experience for each episode.

The members of the Heartslabyul dorm, which the first season will focus on, are yet to be revealed, although its leader, Riddle Rosehearts, will be voiced by Natsuki Hanae. The main character, Yuuken Enma, will be voiced by Yohei Amazaki. The Night Raven College’s headmaster Dire Crowley is voiced by Mitsuru Miyamoto. Additional characters Ace and Deuce will be voiced by Seiichiro Yamashita and Chiaki Kobayashi.
The Disney Twisted-Wonderland anime will be divided into three seasons: Episode of Heartslabyul (Season 1), Episode of Savannah Crow (Season 2), and Episode of Octavinyl (Season 3).
Takahiro Natori is the chief director and series composer of the anime, while Shin Katagai is the director. Yoichi Kato is the main writer, and Hanaka Nakano and Akane Sato as character designers. Yumeta Company and Graphinica are in charge of the animation production
