“Let’s Go Kaikigumi” anime announced for 2026, main cast revealed

A new teaser trailer has been released for the upcoming supernatural comedy series.

Let’s Go Kaikigumi, a supernatural comedy manga series by Byū, is getting an anime adaptation in 2026. The official website and social media accounts of the upcoming series revealed the main cast, staff, and some other details. A brand new teaser trailer highlighting the two central characters of the anime has also been released.

The main cast members of the anime are:

  • The Protagonist voiced by Tasuku Hatanaka (Denki Kaminari in My Hero Academia, Reiki Kyan in Sk8 the Infinity)
  • Mechako voiced by Ruriko Aoki (Air Groove in Uma Musume Pretty Derby, Nene Onemine in Komi Can’t Communicate)
  • The Narrator voiced by Shigeru Chiba (Jogo in Jujutsu Kaisen, Gosha in Beastars)

Yutaka Hirata will direct the anime at C-Station. Mitsumi Ito is in charge of series composition and scripts, while Yoshimitsu Yamashita designs the characters. Uketsu is in charge of the song collaboration. The anime is adapted from Byū’s manga series. 

The story of Let’s go Kaikigumi revolves around the protagonist, a boy who’s six times more sensitive and vulnerable to supernatural phenomena than the normal person. One day, he meets a mysterious girl named Mechako, the leader of an organisation named Kaikigumi, whose job is to police the behaviour of unruly ghosts and monsters, and save humans from them. Somehow, the scaredy cat protagonist gets roped into helping Mechako rebuild the glory of Kaikigumi as spooky shenanigans ensue.
