The anime is set to premiere in April 2026.
The upcoming television anime adaptation of Koucha Agasawa's “The Ramparts of Ice” (Koori no Jouheki) revealed major updates today, 29 September, which includes its main cast, staff, teaser visual, and teaswer promotional video. The anime is set to premiere on TBS and other Japanese television stations in April 2026.
So far, there have been no announcements whether or not the anime will be made available for global viewers.

The main cast are:
- Anna Nagase as Koyuki Hikawa
- Fuuka Izumi as Miki Azumi
- Shouya Chiba as Minato Amamiya
- Satoshi Inomata as Youta Hino
Mankyuu is directing the anime at Studio KAI, with Yasuhiro Nakanishi handling series composition. Miki Ogino is designing the characters, while Kanade Sakuma and Natsumi Tabuchi are both in charge of music. The editorial department at manga magazine Margaret are cooperating with production regarding the original work.
“The Ramparts of Ice” first began as a webtoon before being serialised through Line's Line Manga digital service from January 2020 to April 2022. Shueisha compiled the chapters into 14 tankobon volumes from July 2023 to February 2025.

Ikawa Koyuki is a high school student who has difficulty interacting with others and tends to build walls between herself and them. She spends her days quietly, hanging out with no one except her childhood friend Azumi Miki. But then, for some reason, a boy named Amemiya Minato appears before her and starts to get closer to her ... ?
The solitary girl Koyuki, the school idol Miki, the boy who doesn't want to keep his distance Minato, and the kind and gentle basketball club member Yota. Clumsy, frustrating, and yet lovable. The curtains are now open on an ensemble drama woven together by the misunderstandings of youth .
