On Tuesday, January 28, 2025, the official X (formerly Twitter) account of the Clevatess anime revealed that the anime is coming out in July 2025. Even though the exact release date hasn’t been announced yet, fans got to see a beautiful illustration of Luna’s birth which was released on the account. The anime is based on the manga titled Clevatess: The King of Magical Beasts, the Baby, and the Corpse Hero by Yūji Iwahara. The manga has been serialised on the Line Manga service since August 2020.
Other than the release window, the cast and crew of the anime have also been announced. As per the reveal, Alicia will be voiced by Haruka Shiraishi (Alice in That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime and Sara in Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation), Clen will be voiced by Mutsumi Tamura (Tae Nakanoshima in Kaiju No. 8 and Nat in Made in Abyss), Clevatess will be voiced by Yuichi Nakamura (Satoru Gojo in Jujutsu Kaisen and Ryūsei Shido in Blue Lock), and Luna will be voiced by Saya Aizawa (Ayano Kimishima in Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian and Norn Greyrat in Mushoku Tensei).
The anime is being produced by Lay-duce with Kiyotaka Taguchi as director. The scripts are being written by Keigo Koyanagi with Souichiro Sato as the character designer and Nobuaki Nobusawa as the music composer.
The story of Clevatess starts with Alicia, a girl who has wanted to be a hero since she was little. She and some others are chosen by the king to be the 13 heroes to go on a quest to subjugate the king of demons and magical beasts Clevatess. However, it seems like the heroes’ rash decisions will result in the end of humanity, and the only one who has the power to save it is the little child Luna who was entrusted to the demon king himself.
