Elegy for the Henchmen: Fist of the North Star is Animatica's first project.

The new label is called Animatica, and according to the website, its goal is to incorporate cutting edge techniques into traditional motion comic production. This includes better direction to properly use the characters’ nuances and pacing, and visual processing to create the same level of information density in each scene.
What is the goal of Animatica?
It seems that the main goal of Animatica is to produce better quality light anime, also known as a motion comic. The format of light anime refers to animation that uses mostly still images and minimal motion to cut down production time and cost. It keeps the charm of a manga while also making the visuals more interesting for an anime watcher. Animatica wants to depict emotional movements in the motion comic format, which is not possible with existing techniques.
The first project by Animatica is going to be Elegy for the Henchmen: Fist of the North Star, a short spin-off show of the upcoming FIST OF THE NORTH STAR: HOKUTO NO KEN anime series. Elegy for the Henchmen is set to come out in January 2026, and will likely showcase the improved motion comic style produced by Animatica.
