The award ceremony was organised by Twin Engine and Straight Edge.
The official website of Twin Engine and Straight Edge’s Anime de Sekai e award (Anime to the World Novel Award) just held a ceremony for the winners of the competition. The winning work is Puri’s novel Watashi no Ofuru de Waruin dakedo to Okaa-sama (Heroine) ni Torimaki o Oshitsukerare, Totsuida Henkyō demo Yome Atsukai Saremasen ga, Okage de Jiyū ni Ikiraremasu! (My Mother [the Heroine] Married Me Away Like Second-Hand Goods to One of Her Followers, But I'm Not Treated Like a New Bride in the Remote Region I Moved to, and Now I Get to Live Freely!). It was also announced that the story will get an anime adaptation.
Puri’s winning story will be adapted into an anime
The official website of the award announced back in June that Puri’s story is the winner of the competition. Other than the work getting turned into a guaranteed published novel and an anime adaptation, a manga adaptation is also in the talks. The author also received 1 million Yen (about 7,010 US$) as prize money.
During the prize ceremony, the staff and production studio for the anime was also announced. Famed director Junichi Satō will direct the anime at studio NAGOMI. The release date or cast details of the anime haven’t been revealed as of yet. As the title suggests, the plot of Puri’s story revolves around a woman, who’s mother is a heroine. She marries the daughter off to one of her followers, and unfortunately, the husband’s family is not very welcoming towards her. Despite the hardships, the girl starts to live her life freely with a stoic husband and surrounds herself with dolls that offer her comfort.
