A special recap episode featuring Bonney and Kuma will air instead.
It was announced after the airing of One Piece episode 1128 that the next episode of the anime will be delayed. No reasons were cited for the sudden break, but a special episode will take its place. The new premiere date of One Piece Episode 1129 is 18 May, 2025. You can read more about the upcoming special episode in the article.
The special recap episode will be about Bonney and Kuma
As per the announcement, the title of the next episode is ‘Dr.Chopper’s Adventure Checkup -The Ballad of a Father and Daughter’. It will tell the story of Bonney and Kuma, especially the latter’s past. It’s set to release on Crunchyroll on 11 May, 2025. A short preview of the episode is available to watch on YouTube. The same was also released at the end of episode 1128.
Fans are of course disheartened about the sudden delay, especially when things were getting so exciting in the Egghead Arc. However, the special episode will also be a nice break from the intensity of the show. The One Piece anime is based on Eiichiro Oda’s manga series of the same name.
