The anime adaptation of the My Status as an Assassin Obviously Exceeds the Hero's novel series was announced at the beginning of the year. The official website and social media accounts of the show have finally revealed the series’ 6 October, 2025 release date. Moreover, the new 2nd promo video also highlights the ending theme song by BONNIE PINK.

The latest trailer mainly focuses on the two main characters Akira and Amelia and their relationship. The promo features the ending theme song of the anime, ‘Like Gravity’ performed by BONNIE PINK. The cast of the upcoming series include:
- Akira Oda voiced by Takeo Ōtsuka
- Amelia Rosequartz voiced by Saku Mizuno
- Yoru voiced by Sanae Kobayashi
- Lia Lagoon voiced by Konomi Tamura
- Saran Mithray voiced by Junichi Suwabe
Nobuyoshi Habara directs the anime at studio Sunrise with Kunihiko Okada handling series composition and scripts. Hirona Okada and Kaori Saito design the characters. TOKYO LOGIC’s Satoshi Igarashi composes the music. Rihiro Yamane designs the monsters while Mitsuru Ishihara is the main animator.
The My Status as an Assassin Obviously Exceeds the Hero's anime is adapted from the light novel series written by Matsuri Akai and illustrated by Tōzai. A manga adaptation by Hiroyuki Aigamo is also being serialised. Seven Seas publishes the series in English and describes the story as:
