A prologue titled Episode 0 will air on 25 September.
The upcoming original anime Dusk Beyond the End of the World (Towa no Yugure) just introduced four new characters and cast members. The news was confirmed by the official website and social media accounts of the anime. It was previously announced that the series will begin airing on 2 October 2025, with a prologue Episode 0 airing on 25 September, 2025.

The four new cast members introduced to the show are:
- Yoiyami voiced by Miyuki Sawashiro
- Hakubi voiced by Tomori Kusunoki
- Oboro voiced by Toshiyuki Morikawa
- Yokurata voiced by Yōhei Azakami
Previously announced voice actors performing in the series include:
- Akira Himegami voiced by Shūichirō Umeda
- Yūgure voiced by Yui Ishikawa
- Towasa Ōmaki voiced by Ai Kayano
- Amoru voiced by Miyu Tomita
Naokatsu Tsuda is the director and scriptwriter of the original project at P.A. Works. Yoshiko Saito is adapting the original character designs by Midori Tayama into the anime. Masahiro Tokuda is composing the music. Project FT is credited for the original work. Sentai Filmworks licensed the series in North America to stream on HIDIVE.
