“A Mangaka's Weirdly Wonderful Workplace” confirms 6 October premiere and more in new update

Two new cast members were also revealed.

The upcoming anime series A Mangaka's Weirdly Wonderful Workplace just revealed a 6 October, 2025 release date. Other than the premiere date, the series’ official website and social media accounts also introduced two new voice actors, as well as an adorable new key visual.

A Mangaka's Weirdly Wonderful Workplace new cast, staff, and other details

The new cast members of the series are:

  • Yuzuki Hazama voiced by Saori Hayami
  • Nagomi Hayachine voiced by Sumire Uesaka

In the series, Yuzuki is a childhood friend of the protagonist Nana Futami, while Nagomi is Futami’s colleague from when she was an assistant. The previously announced main and additional cast of the anime includes:

  • Nana Futami voiced by Yūko Natsuyoshi
  • Kaede Satō voiced by Sora Amamiya
  • Mizuki Hazama voiced by Miku Itō
  • Arisa Nashida voiced by Yū Kobayashi
  • Nekonote voiced by Miharu Hanai
  • Shiori Asakura voiced by Iori Saeki
  • Ren Takizawa voiced by Mamiko Noto
  • Wakako Tatsunami voiced by Kikuko Inoue

Kaoru Suzuki helms the upcoming series at Voil, while Mio Inoue handles series composition. Kana Miyai handles character design with Ryō Tanaka as the sound director. Kei Haneoka and Hironori Doi composing the music while Pony Canyon produces it. The opening theme song of the anime is ‘Zettai Shōsan’ performed by HoneyWorks and HaKoniwalily, while the ending theme song is ‘Thankful’ performed by Sizuk.

The original A Mangaka's Weirdly Wonderful Workplace manga is written and illustrated by Kuzushiro. The story of the series revolves around a mangaka named Nana Futami, who is finally able to publish her own manga Subaru e, with the help of her amazing editor and assistants. However, due to the stress, she falls sick and has to postpone the publication of the first chapter. Being hunched over at a desk all night and eating late snacks causes Nana to gain weight, while she also keeps having wild delusions, which she calls an occupational illness. Will Nana be able to enjoy the extremely difficult life of a manga artist?
