The anime season resumed airing in April after going on a long hiatus in 2024.
Our Last Crusade or the Rise of a New World Season 2 just revealed five new characters and their voice actors. The anime series first began airing the second season last year, but went on a hiatus in August 2024 after four episodes. The season started again from episode 1 on 10 April, 2025. Ahead of the fifth episode, the anime introduced some new cast members.

The fifth episode is set to air on Thursday, 8 May, 2025, and it will be the first new episode of the rebroadcast. Crunchyroll airs both the original Japanese and English dubbed versions of the anime. Produced by Silver Link and Studio Palette, the series is directed by Yuki Inaba. Kaori Yoshihara is the character designer while Elements Garden is composing the music for the show. The first season of the anime aired in 2020, and is available to watch on Crunchyroll as well.
The anime is based on the light novel series written by Kei Sazane and illustrated by Ao Nekonabe. The story takes place in a world where the technologically advanced Heavenly Empire and the Nebulis Sovereignty made up of powerful magic have been at war for four years. The current leader of the Empire, Iska, and Aliceliese Lou Nebulis IX from Nebulis’ ruling family clash at the warfront, determined to kill each other. But deep down, both of them want to solve their countries’ woes without war. Iska and Alice keep meeting and try to find peace in each others’ company as well as find a way to end this long battle.
