The Uma Musume Pretty Derby franchise by Cygames began with a mobile game which came out back in 2021. An anime adaptation by P.A. Works came out in 2018. The second and third seasons of the anime were produced by Studio Kai. After that many spin-off manga and anime series from the franchise have graced the screens over the years.
The story of Uma Musume takes place in a world where famous racehorses of the past are reborn as horse girls. These girls have horse tails and ears, as well as horse legs. They train together at the Tracen Academy in Tokyo to gain fame as racing prodigies and idols.
