GKIDS has acquired the rights to premiere the film in the USA.
The anime compilation film Jujutsu Kaisen: Hidden Inventory/Premature Death – The Movie just received an exciting update. After acquiring the rights to release the movie theatrically in North America, GKIDS has announced that the film will premiere on 16 July, 2025. This news was announced in a press release.

Jujutsu Kaisen, based on Gege Akutami’s manga series of the same name, is one of the most popular anime series in the world. Produced by Toho Animation and animated by MAPPA, this series won the hearts of millions of fans around the world. The upcoming compilation movie will focus on what happened at the beginning of the show’s second season, especially Gojo and Geto’s history with Riko Amanai. Fans will get a detailed look into what pushed Geto Suguru to finally descend to the dark side.
GKIDS has released the movie’s trailer on YouTube. In Japan, Hidden Inventory/Premature Death – The Movie is coming out on 30 May, 2025. While the film will premiere on 16 July, 2025 in North American Theatres. Fans can head to Crunchyroll to watch both seasons of the Jujutsu Kaisen anime right now. Before they were enemies, Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto were high school classmates and friends. The two powerful sorcerers are tasked with protecting Riko Amanai, a student who has been designated to be sacrificed as the Star Plasma Vessel, until she can fulfill her duty. Pursued by a religious cult and other curse users, they are the only sorcerers capable of carrying out such a difficult task – but this mission will set their destinies, and challenge the two sorcerers in ways unimaginable.
