The 23 winners of the NEL receive a grand parade in Roppongi.
After Nagi’s incredibly painful goodbye to Reo in the previous chapter, the recent issue of the Blue Lock manga moves immediately to Kaiser and Ness. We see the two of them talking and Ness standing up to Kaiser for the first time. After that, the 23 survivors of the Neo Egoist League are taken to a celebratory parade where the boys meet their fans for the first time.

Blue Lock Chapter 301 recap

The issue opens with the players all returning to the stadium. Kaiser suddenly turns around and asks Ness why he’s still following him. He tells him not to stick with him anymore since Kaiser is a bad player and orders Ness to get lost. However, the other player says no, defying Kaiser for the first time. Kaiser reminds him that he tossed Ness aside for victory and lost to Isagi anyway, which makes him a terrible player and not worthy of anything. Ness looks at him with a blank expression and says he won’t do as he’s told anymore. Kaiser is a flesh and blood human being, and with his own Ego, Ness will cast a spell on Kaiser’s broken self.
The Blue Lock players are then ordered to rest up and to wear their designated suits the next day and get on a bus. As the vehicle leaves the next morning, we see the boys in fancy suits as they excitedly chatter about what’s going to happen. Isagi remembers what he told Nagi and wonders how Reo is doing. We see Reo sitting quietly in a window seat, not talking to anybody. The bus reaches its destination, and we learn that a massive parade has been arranged for the Blue Lock winners. All the boys are excited to see their fans surrounding them. Isagi is both excited and scared to see it, and promises to never let this get to his head lest he fails before reaching his goal of becoming the best. The next panel shows Nagi, back in his home, alone, standing in a dark room.
Blue Lock Chapter 301 review

The latest chapter had a lot of development, especially in the lives of Ness and Kaiser. It seems that Ness refuses to let Kaiser go, but something in their relationship has changed fundamentally. Instead of revering him, Ness now thinks Kaiser is a human made of flesh and blood. On the other hand, Isagi catching himself before the fame gets to his head just proves why he’s one of the bests in Blue Lock right now, despite not being a genius. In sharp contrast, there is Nagi, who came in like a Supernova and fizzled out because he let his one win get to his head. The next chapter will likely focus on Nagi and his current situation. I’m excited to see what he does now that Reo is not by his side to guide his every move.
