The Sharknado continues to be a problem for Momo and her group.
The latest chapter of Yukinobu Tatsu’s Dandadan manga was exactly what you’d expect after someone pulls out a dehydrated massive Death Worm from their purse. Things escalate pretty quickly as Momo flies out of the plane and Jiji and Zuma also come out to save her. Then our favourite protagonist uses her cool powers to control the severed worm to keep shooting frozen sharks at the Tornado Human.

Dandadan Chapter 197 recap
The issue begins with the Mongolian Death Worm flying around like crazy and shooting the frozen sharks into the center of the tornado. Momo and Jiji are shocked to see how well the Kito family is controlling it. They plan to continue their duty and use their powers to throw sharks, but suddenly, one of the sharks hits the plane, sending Momo flying out of a hole. Jiji jumps out of the plane, intending to catch Momo, but her tiny size makes it impossible for him to grab her. Suddenly, Zuma flies out of the plane and uses his Yokai power to catch Momo in one of his umbrellas. He then absorbs the umbrella back into his body, leaving Momo in his hand.
Another shark hits Zuma, and he loses balance. Thankfully, Jiji is able to grab him before he flies off and holds onto the plane’s body. The Kito family starts yelling at them, asking how many more sharks they have to shoot into the storm. Momo tells them they have to keep going. Suddenly, the nose of the typhoon shoots out two sharks from its nostrils. The immense force of the impact tears apart the base of the worm that’s connected to the plane. The nostrils keep shooting sharks at them, causing the worm’s body to detach and fly away. Luckily, Momo is able to grab onto the tail-end of the massive worm to keep it from floating away. However, the force of the worm’s body causes her, Jiji, and Zuma to follow suit.
Momo then puts her psychic hand through the body of the worm, and out of the mouth. She starts piloting the massive worm that has the Kito family on it. With her, Jiji and Zuma are also hanging at the tail-end of the creature thanks to her powers. Momo explains that now that the worm’s like a tube, she can punch her power through it and the wind coming out of the bottom will cause it to fly like a kite. Jiji asks what she’s doing since they’re flying really far away from the plane. Momo says it’s okay and that they need to fly even farther up the stratosphere. She points out that they won’t reach Shimane if they don’t defeat the Typhoon Human. She flies upwards, until she can see the massive (literal) eye of the storm, and says they have to smash it to stop the typhoon.
Dandadan Chapter 197 review
There’s no end to how absolutely crazy the Dandadan manga can get, and the last few chapters have been proof of that. I expected to see the eye of the Typhoon Human storm at some point, but the art for it still took my breath away. It would be exciting to see how Momo, Jiji, Zuma, and the Kito Family manage to destroy the storm and get back to the plane before it flies too far away. With all the passengers’ lives on the line, they need to finish it quickly and efficiently. This means we’ll get some more amazing fights from the upcoming chapters.
