Each episode of the series will be about 15 seconds long.
Google Play is teaming up with the famous anime production house Wit Studio (Vinland Saga, Attack on Titan Season 1-3) for a special short animated series. The project is titled “Overpowered on Google Play?! Reincarnated as an Android User” (Google Play de Cho Muso?! Tensei Shitara Android User Datta). The series will release one 15-second episode weekly from 16 June to 21 July. You can watch the episodes on Google Play’s official YouTube and X (formerly Twitter) accounts for free.

The short series’ voice cast includes:
- Andō voiced by Daiki Yamashita (Izuku Midoriya in My Hero Academia, Yotasuke Takahashi in Blue Period)
- Guma voiced by Shiori Izawa (Pochita in Chainsaw Man, Pina in Sword Art Online)
- Nekomaru voiced by Marina Inoue (Mai Zenin in Jujutsu Kaisen, Armin Arlert in Attack on Titan)
The theme song of the short series is ‘Insomnia’ performed by Eve. Yasuhiro Akamatsu is directing the series with Wit Studio handling the production and animation. Other production staff includes:

The first episode of the short anime, titled ‘The Birth of the Gamer’s Dream Room!’ is already here. You can watch the episode on the official X or YouTube pages of Google Play. The story of the series focuses on a boy named Ando, who’s an avid gamer. One day, he is reincarnated into the Google Play World, where everyone seems to value gamers greatly. Armed with his Android smartphone, Ando will go on an adventure and also attract the wrath of other gamers in the world.
