It was previously announced that Cour 2 of the Sakamoto Days anime will be released on 14 July worldwide (15 July at 12 AM in Japan). Ahead of the premiere, the series released a new trailer, highlighting some of the key plot points, additional cast members, as well as the ending theme song.

The voice actors who have joined the cast are:
- Akira Akao voiced by M・A・O (Remi Ayasaki in Horimiya, Iris in Fire Force)
- Mafuyu Seba voiced by Daiki Yamashita (Izuku Midoriya in My Hero Academia, Shu Iura in Horimiya)
- Kanaguri voiced by Satoshi Hino (Daichi Sawamura in Haikyu!!, Kyojuro Rengoku in Demon Slayer)
- Rion Akao voiced by Mamiko Noto (Sawako Kuronuma in Kimi no Todoke, Mavis Vermillion in Fairy Tail)
The official website and X (formerly Twitter) account of the series also announced that the ending theme song of the second cour will be ‘Dandelion’ by popular band go!go!vanillas. The same was also featured in the new trailer:
Masaki Watanabe will continue to direct Sakamoto Days Cour 2 under Production I.G. Taku Kishimoto is in charge of series composition while Yo Moriyama handles the character designs. Yuki Hayashi is composing the music for the series. The original manga is created by Yuto Suzuki. Viz Media publishes the manga in English and describes the story as:
