CyberAgent teases new animation project at Anime Expo 2025

The animation project was teased with a mysterious visual.

CyberAgent, the company behind hit anime titles like Oshi no Ko, Apocalypse Hotel, and Zombieland Saga Revenge, has unveiled a new animation project in the works at the currently ongoing Anime Expo 2025.

The new project is yet to reveal any information

Much of the details regarding this project, titled “Project M” is a mystery, as CyberAgent is yet to provide further information as to what the project is exactly. No staff or cast have been revealed, and even the project's format–whether it might be a television anime, original net animation, or movie–has been kept under wraps.

However, the teaser visual does hint at some kind of theme, particularly the up-close shot of a turquoise-coloured eye with the reflection of a monarch butterfly, suggesting a type of beautiful mystery.

CyberAgent has launched an official X (formerly Twitter) and website for the project, where eager fans can check in to find out more about it when information is available.

Before confirming this new anime project, CyberAgent has teased two new anime titles that are soon to join its roster: The Banished Court Magician Aims to Become the Strongest, for Fall 2025, and Osananajimi to wa Love Comedy ni Naranai, which is scheduled for a 2026 release.
