“Tales of Wedding Rings” Season 2 premieres 4 October

The anime has also revealed its theme song artists.

The “Tales of Wedding Rings” (Kekkon Yubiwa Monogatari) anime has unveiled additional information regarding its upcoming second season, as well as a release date and a new key visual. 

The news, which was revealed today, 27 August, coincides with the wedding anniversary of main characters Satou and Hime. Season 2 is set to premiere on 4 October, 2025. 

Sizuk is returning to perform the opening theme song for Season 2 with the song “Daybreak”, while Hime’s voice actor, Akari Kito, will be performing the ending theme “any if”.

The original cast from Season 1 are returning to reprise their roles:

Miyu Tomita is joining Season 2 as Morion.

The Season1 staff are also returning to their respective positions, with Takashi Naoya once again directing the anime at Staple Entertainment. Deko Akao is in charge of the scripts, while Saori Nakashiki is designing the characters.

The first season aired in January 2024, with the story being adapted from the original manga by creator duo Maybe. The manga ran in Square Enix’s Monthly Big Gangan magazine from 2014 to 2024, with a total of 15 tankobon volumes.

Yen Press licensed the series for an English release, and describes the story as:

When Satou's best friend, Hime, tells him that she's moving, he decides to follow. After crashing her wedding in another world, he ends up as the groom when she suddenly kisses him! Prophecy states that her husband is destined to be the Ring King-a hero of immense power who will save the world from the Abyssal King! Is Satou up for the challenge, or is his new marriage going to end before it even begins?
