Snowball Earth staff, story, and other details
Unfortunately, no cast details have been revealed for the upcoming anime. However, it was announced that Munehisa Sakai (Sailor Moon Crystal, Zombieland Saga) is directing the anime at studio KAI. Takeshi Iwata (Blade of the Immortal) is the assistant director while Shigeru Murakoshi (Kakegurui, Zombieland Saga) is handling series composition. Toshiya Kono (Beast Tamer, 'Tis Time for “Torture," Princess) is the character designer and animation director.
The official X account of the anime has posted a commemorative illustration done by the series author Yuhiro Tsujitsugu. The author himself posted another commemorative illustration on his personal X account. He thanked all the readers for their support and complimented the production team that’s working tirelessly on the series. The Snowball Earth manga is recommended by famed director and animator Hideaki Anno, popular video game creator Hideo Kojima, and One-Punch Man’s creator One. It’s sufficient to say that fans have a lot of expectations from the anime adaptation.
Viz media publishes the manga series in English and describes the story as:

But when Tetsuo emerges he finds a world in ruins, entirely frozen beneath a blanket of ice and snow—snowball Earth!
