A short teaser trailer has been released for the two upcoming movies. The video also previews the theme song ‘Ougon no Achira’ performed by Awich × ALI. The main cast of the movies remain the same, with Chikahiro Kobayashi voicing Saichi Sugimoto and Haruka Shiraishi as Asirpa, both reprising their roles from the previous four seasons of the anime.
Shizutaka Sugahara is coming back to direct the films at Brain’s Base. Takumi Yamakawa is designing the characters and Noboru Takagi is handling series composition. Previously, it was announced that two short OVA episodes for Golden Kamuy will be released with the spin-off novel series this October. The Golden Kamuy anime is based on Satoru Noda’s manga series of the same name which was published from 2014 to 2022. Crunchyroll currently streams all seasons of the Golden Kamuy anime. Viz Media publishes the manga in English and describes the story as:
In the early twentieth century, Russo-Japanese War veteran Saichi “Immortal” Sugimoto scratches out a meager existence during the postwar gold rush in the wilderness of Hokkaido. When he stumbles across a map to a fortune in hidden Ainu gold, he sets off on a treacherous quest to find it. But Sugimoto is not the only interested party, and everyone who knows about the gold will kill to possess it! Faced with the harsh conditions of the northern wilderness, ruthless criminals and rogue Japanese soldiers, Sugimoto will need all his skills and luck—and the help of an Ainu girl named Asirpa—to survive.
