Amalee, Kson, and more jump ship after Ironmouse leaves VShojo

The majority of VShojo affiliated talents have left the agency after Ironmouse came forward with allegations against VShojo.

After Ironmouse surprised the Vtuber community with her departure from VShojo, by revealing that the agency has mismanaged charity funds worth more than US$500,000 and failed to pay her dues, the majority of talents affiliated with the brand have now begun to announce their departures.

This chain of events has led to the agency imploding in only under 24 hours, and the fallout has been nothing short of incredibly messy.

Kson reveals shady funds mishandling by VShojo not only done to Ironmouse

Kson, who is affiliated with the Japanese leg of VShojo, came forward with a bombshell revelation about her experience with the agency in a stream, ultimately quitting live while discussing the details of her situation with the head of the Japanese branch.

According to translations from the stream, Kson, who initially planned her departure for 31 July, alleged that VShojo was withholding payments to her, potentially dating as far back as September 2024. Kson kept quiet about the situation at first, as the agency continuously promised that she would be paid out–however she now believes she will never see a cent of her missing earnings.

Acknowledging why she only came forward now, Kson stated (in a translation by @DreamingNousagi on X): “The reason why I waited so long was that if I reveal this information and say I’m going to quit, if I say that, I thought they were not going to pay me the amount they owe, and that was scary for me. So recently, I decided fuck it, I’m leaving.”

Furthermore, Kson grilled the Japanese CEO about Ironmouse’s situation, the inner workings of the company, and the frequent miscommunication.

The Japanese CEO alleged that the missing US$500,000 donation funds raised by Ironmouse for the Immune Deficiency Fund may have been instead used for operational costs. He further stated that although the Japanese side is doing well, Kson will most likely not be paid what she is owed.

Amalee, Projekt Melody, and more officially leaves VShojo

Other than Kson, big names affiliated with VShojo have also announced their departures.

Projekt Melody, one of the final original members of VShojo, revealed her resignation on X, and by the looks of her statement, her decision was largely fueled by Ironmouse’s situation.

Hime Hajime also confirmed her decision to quit VShojo, confirming that she can no longer be part of the company, although no specific reason was given. Given the current situation, she may also have chosen to take a stand with Ironmouse.

On the other hand, Kuro Kurenai has confirmed that he had already filed a leave contract with VShojo 11 days ago, ultimately taking his leave even before Ironmouse came forward with her allegations.

Mici Mochievee came forward in a livestream to announce her decision to become independent. In further posts on her X account, she stated that although she can’t say anything legally about her situation, she entreats her fans and followers to support Ironmouse, and thanked them for their support.

Amalee, who just joined VShojo last January, announced her departure from the company in light of the situation. The termination of her contract is tendered as effective immediately, and she will return to independent streaming.

And finally, as of the time of writing, Haruka Karibu has also announced her departure from VShojo. She reveals that she had been initially planning to leave, but once Ironmouse’s allegations came to light, she expedited the process and has now officially become an independent Vtuber.

This leaves only Akatsuki Hotaru and Henya the Genius as the remaining talent in VShojo’s roster. However, both of them have removed VShojo from their social media accounts, which may indicate an intent to leave. Time can only tell once they announce their decisions.

A light at the end of the tunnel, as fans campaign for the Immune Deficiency Foundation

Following Ironmouse’s announcement, fans came together to support the Tiltify campaign she launched in support of the Immune Deficiency Foundation. Internet personalities, Vtubers, and influencers alike have also boosted the campaign through posts on their official accounts, entreating supporters to donate to the cause.

The campaign’s goal was US$10,000, but the outpouring of support has ballooned the donation amount to a whopping US$745,000+ as of the time of writing, and the numbers are still climbing.

Although Ironmouse’s and her fellow talents' situation is incredibly sad and disappointing to many, the love and support of their community has provided a glimmer of hope.

On the other hand, VShojo has yet to make any statement regarding the matter.
