“Disney Twisted-Wonderland The Animation” is an upcoming anime series with a unique twist. Based on the popular dark academia video game created by Aniplex and Walt Disney, the first season of the series is set to air in October 2025, although a definitive release date remains unknown. The Night Raven College’s headmaster Dire Crowley is voiced by Mitsuru Miyamoto. Additional characters Ace and Deuce will be voiced by Seiichiro Yamashita and Chiaki Kobayashi.
It was previously revealed that the upcoming Disney Twisted-Wonderland anime will be divided into three seasons- Episode of Heartslabyul (Season 1), Episode of Savannah Crow (Season 2), and Episode of Octavinyl (Season 3).
Yana Toboso, the creator of Black Butler, is also the main planner, character designer and script writer of the video game. Takahiro Natori is the chief director and series composer of the anime while Shin Katagai is the director. Yoichi Kato is the main writer and Hanaka Nakano and Akane Sato as character designers. Yumeta Company and Graphinica are in charge of the animation production. The first season of the anime will air on Disney+ worldwide in October. The game has also been adapted into a manga series.
The story of Disney Twisted-Wonderland takes place in an institute known as The Night Raven College. This magical place is divided into seven dorms, each of which is inspired by a specific Disney Villain. But things get complicated when a normal high school student from our world ends up inside this twisted school.
