Two very different Pokémon stories just dropped teasers: one full of mischief, the other full of charm.
Pokémon has unveiled two upcoming animated projects, and both of them look completely adorable. Revealed during the Pokémon Presents showcase on 22 July, fans were treated to a first look at Pokémon Tales: The Misadventures of Sirfetch’d and Pichu, a brand-new series made in collaboration with Aardman Animations, and the first trailer for the returning Pokémon Concierge, which is heading into its second season.
Pokémon Tales: The Misadventures of Sirfetch’d and Pichu to debut in 2027
First announced last year, this collaboration with Aardman, the beloved studio behind Wallace and Gromit, has finally given fans a sneak peek.
In this chaotic and hilarious teaser, a Wooloo peacefully chews grass, entirely unaware of the mayhem unfolding behind it. In the background, Sirfetch’d and Pichu appear to be stirring up trouble for some unseen Pokémon: bursts of electricity, mud, and fire erupt as the oblivious Wooloo continues munching away.
Details about the series remain scarce, but Aardman’s creative director Peter Lord called it “a unique look at the Pokémon world, told from the perspective of Pokémon,” and hinted that it will take place in “a region very close to our hearts.” With Aardman’s signature humour and craftsmanship, the series promises lovingly animated misadventures, and something just a little different.
Pokémon Concierge returns for Season 2 in September
Meanwhile, Pokémon Concierge is making a return. The stop-motion Netflix series is back for a second season on 4 September, and the new trailer teases fresh guests, more resort life, and even a few personal twists. The first season, which debuted in December 2023, followed Haru as she adjusted to her new job and discovered more about herself through her Pokémon guests. Pikachu, Psyduck, Dragonite, and Magikarp were among the familiar faces in season 1.
The newly released trailer for the upcoming Pokémon Concierge episodes offers a glimpse of Haru growing into her role at the resort, with her ever-reliable Psyduck by her side. She welcomes a new wave of Pokémon guests, including Sealeo, Shinx, Luxray, and Arcanine, navigating touching moments and unexpected mishaps with increasing confidence.
The story takes a more personal turn with the arrival of Kent (voiced by Jacob Bertrand), a visitor from the city whose connection to Haru’s past stirs up unresolved emotions. Viewers are also introduced to Dan (Craig Lee Thomas), a seasoned Trainer accompanied by his Sealeo.
