Another sweet romcom anime joins the ever growing roster of Crunchyroll this fall. It was confirmed that the Plus-sized Misadventures in Love! anime series will premiere on Crunchyroll globally on 6 October, 2025. Previously, the show confirmed its cast, staff, and other important details in an adorable trailer.

Crunchyroll revealed that the series will premiere on their platform in October. Previously, it was announced that the main cast of the anime consists of:
- Yumeko Kōda voiced by Aya Endō
- Keisuke Yūki voiced by Takuya Kusakawa
Kazuomi Koga directs the anime at Marvy Jack. Aua Watatane is the script writer, while Atsuko Takahashi designs the characters. Takahashi is also the chief animation director alongside Kyoko Kametani and Izumi Yamanaka. Satoshi Hono and Karin Nakano are in charge of music composition. The show is based on Mamakari’s manga series of the same name. NTT Solmare publishes the series in English through the MangaPlaza website and describes the story as:
"This is my punishment - someone as hideous as me falling for someone as good-looking as you..." Yumeko had a mountain of complexes about herself. Then, a terrible accident befalls her.
