Dandadan Season 2 introduces Kinta Sakata in new climax PV

Daichi Fujiwara will voice Kinta Sakata in the anime.

Dandadan Season 2 is riding high on its success. Right after the premiere of the season’s eighth episode, the official website and social media accounts of the anime released a brand new ‘Climax PV’. It’s a short trailer highlighting what’s to come in the series, as the story builds up towards a climax. A new character called Kinta Sakata, who is Okarun’s classmate and an otaku, has been introduced in the new PV.

As manga readers may know, Kinta is about to become a big part of Momo and Okarun’s story.

Dandadan Season 2 climax PV unveils new character and story

According to the new PV, Kinta Sakata will be voiced by Daichi Fujiwara (Kuwa Yokohori in Boruto: Naruto Next Generations). Other cast members of the anime include:

  • Momo Ayase voiced by Shion Wakayama
  • Ken Takakura/ Okarun voiced by Natsuki Hanae
  • Seiko Ayase voiced by Nana Mizuki
  • Turbo Granny voiced by Mayumi Tanaka
  • Aira Shiratori voiced by Ayane Sakura
  • Jin Enjoji/ Jiji voiced by Kaito Ishikawa

Other than introducing Kinta as a classmate of Okarun who loves comic books and robots, the PV also grants us a look into what’s to come. Fans can expect to see some amazing action from the rest of the episodes as Okarun and Momo team up again to find Okarun’s… golden ball. It seems that our protagonists will face a massive godzilla-like monster together with their friends.

A key visual of a massive robot fighting this monster with the protagonists and their friends in the foreground has also been released. Dandadan is about to get a lot freakier.

Fuga Yamashiro and Abel Gongora are co-directing Dandadan Season 2 at Science SARU. Hiroshi Seko is in charge of series composition, while Naoyuki Onda designs the characters. Kensuke Ushio composes the music. The anime is based on Yukinobu Tatsu’s supernatural manga series of the same name. You can currently watch the first season of Dandadan, as well as all available episodes of Season 2 on Crunchyroll and Netflix depending on your location.

Crunchyroll describes the story as:

When high schooler Momo, from a family of spirit mediums, first meets her classmate Okarun, an occult geek, they argue—Momo believes in ghosts but denies aliens, and Okarun believes in aliens but denies ghosts. When it turns out both phenomena are real, Momo awakens a hidden power and Okarun gains the power of a curse. Together, they must challenge the paranormal forces threatening their world.
