Netflix has released a brand new teaser trailer for the upcoming season.
The Devil May Cry anime became one of the biggest hits of 2025, and Netflix garnered impressive numbers from the series. Due to its success, Netflix announced a sequel almost immediately after the show released its final episode. It has now been revealed that the Devil May Cry animated series by Adi Shankar is coming back in 2026, and the new teaser trailer gives the audience a glimpse into what’s to come.
Devil May Cry animated series Season 2 details
From the looks of it, it seems that Dante’s older twin brother Vergil is going to be the main focus of Devil May Cry Season 2. Vergil was seen on and off all throughout season 1, but didn’t play a major role in the plot. However, the two brothers are all set to face each other in combat after reuniting in season 2.
Fans are also excited to see where the plot goes next, following Dante's imprisonment at the end of Season 1. Unfortunately, no other details about the upcoming season have been confirmed yet.
The English dub of the anime includes Johnny Yong Bosch as Dante. Other roles include:

The Devil May Cry anime is based on Hideki Kamiya’s game series published by Capcom. Adi Shankar (Castlevania) created the animated series, which had been planned since 2018. Shankar and Alex Larsen wrote the scripts while South Korean animation Studio Mir animated the series. All eight episodes of the first season are available to stream on Netflix.
