New cast, staff, and other details of the anime have also been revealed.
The comedy anime series “Alma-chan Wants to Be a Family” (Alma-chan wa Kazoku ni Naritai) just released a new promotional video. The trailer revealed that the anime will air on 5 October, 2025. Moreover, additional cast and staff details, along with the opening theme song of the series, have also been announced.

The two new characters who have been introduced are:
- Makina voiced by Rika Nagae (Momoko Fuyuki in Hokkaido Gals Are Super Adorable!, Komachi Aizome in Go! Go! Loser Ranger!)
- Neon voiced by Hinaki Yano (Kitasan Black in Uma Musume Pretty Derby, Shizuku in The Elusive Samurai)
The previously announced main cast of the anime includes:
- Alma-chan voiced by Manaka Iwami
- Enji Kamisato voiced by Ryōta Suzuki
- Suzume Yobane voiced by M.A.O
The opening theme song of the anime is ‘Dramatic Overlay’ (previewed in the trailer), performed by ZAQ. Yasuhiro Minami directs the anime at Studio Flad. Yukie Sugawara is in charge of the scripts while Mika Yamamoto designs the characters. Mito is composing the music for the show. Other staff members include:

The anime is based on Nanateru’s manga series of the same name which started in 2021 and ended in 2024. In 2024, a sequel manga series titled Alma-chan Wants to Be a Family! Z began serialising. Crunchyroll will stream the anime when it airs and describes the story as:
A body that combines the appearance of an adorable young girl with overwhelming combat efficiency. An AI with intelligence and decision-making skills that surpass human capabilities—the perfect autonomous robot, "Alma" was created by the overlooked young genius scientists Enji and Suzume whose brilliance should've been recognized by the world!
