The anime comes as part of the 10th anniversary celebration of the series.
Initially revealed back in 2023, the second season of the magical-girl thriller anime “Magical Girl Raising Project”, based on the light novel series written by Asari Endo and illustrated by Maruino, has finally revealed a broadcast window: 2026! The release window coincides with the anime’s 10th anniversary, as the first season aired in 2016.
Season 2, titled “Magical Girl Raising Project restart, will continue the story as it takes from the “Restart” light novels spinoff. The announcement was paired with a teaser video, which was posted on the anime’s official YouTube account.

Hashimoto Hiroyuki is returning to direct Season 2 at SynergySP, with Takao Yoshioka once again handling series composition and script. The character design is handled by Masako Ito, while Satoko Iida is sound director.
Furthermore, the anime revealed its opening theme song “No Tears Here”, which is performed by Minori Chihara, with lyrics by Aki Hata and composition and arrangement by Q-MHz.
