A trailer for the upcoming Culling Game arc has been released.
During the fifth anniversary livestream of the Jujutsu Kaisen anime, it was revealed that the series will return with its much-awaited third season in January 2026. The announcement was paired with a teaser trailer hinting at the next arc of the series: The Culling Game.
Additionally, a compilation movie of the Shibuya Incident arc and the first two episodes of the Culling Game arc was also revealed.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 The Culling Game anime details
The trailer highlights some of the key moments of the upcoming arc. This includes the fight between Itadori and Yuta, and Maki’s retaliation against her clan. Moreover, as the Culling Games begin, many characters will join the growing roster of Jujutsu Kaisen, including some that will become a very important part of the story. Unfortunately, no new characters or voice actors have been revealed as of yet.
Jujutsu Kaisen The Culling Game will be directed by Shota Goshozono at MAPPA. Hiroshi Seko writes the series composition while Yosuke Yajima (NEW) and Hiromi Niwa (NEW) design the characters. Yoshimasa Teuri composes the music for the upcoming season. Other staff members include:

A key visual for the compilation movie, titled Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution -Shibuya Incident x The Culling Game Begins-, has also been released. The movie will premiere in Japan on 7 November, 2025 and cover the entirety of the Shibuya Incident arc (Season 2), and the first two episodes of the Culling Game arc (Season 3). In North America, the compilation movie will be released under the name Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution, on 5 December, 2025.
The anime is based on Gege Akutami’s manga of the same name which came to an end in 2024. Crunchyroll streams the first two seasons of the anime and the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 movie right now and describes the story as:
Yuji Itadori is a boy with tremendous physical strength, though he lives a completely ordinary high school life. One day, to save a classmate who has been attacked by curses, he eats the finger of Ryomen Sukuna, taking the curse into his own soul. From then on, he shares one body with Ryomen Sukuna.
