Reo perfectly transforms from Bachira’s copy to Chigiri’s.
In the previous chapter of the Blue Lock manga, we saw Reo transform his playstyle into a perfect copy of Bachira’s. In the recent chapter, we see the real and copy Bachira playing perfectly in sync, leaving the Nigerian players in the dust. After another transformation, Reo takes Japan a step forward in the match. Onazi and the other Nigerian players plan to retaliate, but there’s someone standing in their way.

Blue Lock Chapter 316 recap
The issue begins with Reo perfectly copying Bachira’s wild playstyle and dodging three Nigerian players with intense dribbling. He passes the ball to Bachira, who once again sidesteps two opponents before giving Reo the ball back. Kuso realises that the original and copy Bachira are making coordinated plays that weren’t in their data, and they can’t adapt fast enough to this. The Nigerians plan to foul the two to stop them, but the two aces of Japan, Isagi and Rin, run up the sidelines and ask them to pass the ball.
With the aces in the game, Blue Lock’s game becomes even more unpredictable. But instead of passing, Reo gracefully transforms himself from Bachira to Chigiri. With Chigiri’s speed, he carves out a path for the ball and shoots it. The curve shot ends up in the goal, making the score 2-0 in Japan’s favour. The Nigerian players don’t understand how Blue Lock became this good. After scoring the goal, Reo vows to win without depending on anyone.
The Nigerian players feel depressed as they seem to have no chance of winning. However, Onazi comes up and reminds them that they just have to bust through this wall. He says that they’re the world’s strongest family. In a flashback, we see young Onazi, Kuso, and their other teammates in an orphanage. Kuso asks Onazi to play, but he doesn’t want to. Kuso says it’s better to play than to be lonely. Onazi gets angry and starts playing football with them, and everyone is shocked to see how good he is.
After the heart touching story of how the Nigerian team became a family, we see Onazi telling his teammates that everything will be fine because he’s here. However, Isagi says it won’t be fine. As Onazi looks at him, the protagonist says that they won’t succeed because he will stop them.
Blue Lock Chapter 316 review
It was great to see how much Reo has improved his copy skills in the last few weeks. Previously, he could only copy one player at a time. However, now he can smoothly transform between two different styles without any issues. His goal using Chigiri’s shot was a masterclass. However, with Nigeria’s indomitable spirit, it won’t be easy to beat them without a fight. I’m interested to see what Isagi plans to do next to stop Onazi.
