“Wash it All Away” anime premieres January 2026

The anime also unveiled a teaser promotional video and its music composer. 

The official X (formerly Twitter) account for the anime adaptation of Mitsuru Hattori's “Wash it All Away” manga has unveiled new information regarding its planned broadcast window: January 2026.

Additionally, a teaser promotional video and staff update was also unveiled.

In the staff update, Eri Chichibu, a Japanese composer, arranger, and pianist, has been revealed to be in charge of the music for the anime. 

The teaser promotional video also showcased the voice of its main protagonist, Wakana Kinme, whose voice actor was previously confirmed to be Sayumi Suzushiro. No other cast members have been divulged.

Studio Okuruto Noboru is producing and animating the upcoming anime. Kenta Onishi is listed as the director, while Toko Machida is handling the scripts as well as series composition. Azuma Tozawa is designing the characters for the anime.

“Wash it All Away” will premiere on TOKYO MX, ABC TV, BS Asahi, and AT-X. There have been no announcements whether or not the anime has been picked up for a global release, although we can expect updates regarding this (and more) in the future.

The Wash It All Away manga was published in Square Enix’s Monthly Gangan magazine from 2017 to 2023. The official website of Square Enix describes the manga’s premise as:

For two years, Wakana Kinme has run a laundry service in the seaside resort town of Atami. Kinme Cleaning is a well-loved business, and Atami residents admire Wakana's devotion to her trade. She builds a fulfilling life making friends with the locals and visiting hot springs. Although Wakana has no knowledge of her own past, her cleaning services safeguard memories imbued in customers' precious items.
