Blue Orchestra Season 2 reveals additional cast in new trailer ahead of 5 October premiere

The theme songs of the anime have also been revealed in the new teaser.

A few weeks ago, it was announced that Blue Orchestra Season 2 will begin airing on 5 October, 2025. Before the release, the official website of the musical anime released a brand new teaser trailer. The video features the two theme songs of the upcoming sequel. Moreover, the social media accounts of the series also introduced three new cast members who will join the second season.

Blue Orchestra Season 2 new cast, staff, and other details

The three new characters and their voice cast are:

  • Yusuke Sakuma (percussion) voiced by Hiroshi Kamiya
  • Toshiki Tsutsui (horn) voiced by Makoto Kaneko
  • Rika Togane (trumpet) voiced by Iori Saeki

The new trailer gives fans a glimpse of what to expect from the upcoming season. The video also revealed the show’s opening theme song ‘Amadeus’ performed by the band Galileo Galilei, and the ending theme song ‘Ao no Mahō’ performed by ChoQMay.

Studio Nippon Animation is animating the series with Seiji Kishi directing it. Yuko Kakihara handles the series composition while Kazuaki Morita designs the characters. Akira Kosemura composes the music. The anime is adapted from the original web manga series of the same name by Makoto Akui.

The story of the series focuses on Hajime Aono, a former violin prodigy who quit playing when he was in middle school due to his father’s infidelity and its devastating aftermath. Now in high school, Aono meets Ritsuko Akine, who inspires him to pick up his instrument again. Aono then joins the school’s reputable Orchestra Club and once again learns to fall in love with music.
