The anime revealed the news right after the finale episode aired
The official website and social media accounts for the Spring 2025 anime WITCH WATCH has unveiled that Season 2 is now in production after its finale episode aired just this Sunday, 5 October.
A celebratory visual was paired with the announcement, featuring the cast of the anime:
A release date has not been confirmed for Season 2.
WITCH WATCH ends on a high note
The 25th episode of WITCH WATCH, titled “Freshman Witch and her Familiars” ended the season with Nico and her classmates doing a haunted house-themed cafe for their school festival. With hijinks ensuing, Morihito and his friends come in to save the day, and resolve to protect Nico as her ever-loyal familiars.
Season 1 director, Hiroshi Ikehata, released a message to fans and viewers as Episode 25 ended, thanking them for their support and the “wonderful magic” shared around the world.
There’s not much details about Season 2 and its future staff, although the anime will still be produced by Bibury Animation Studios. The rest of the staff for Season 1 were:

The WITCH WATCH anime is based on Kenta Shinohara’s magical romcom manga of the same name. Crunchyroll streams Season 1 and describes the story as:
Morihito Otogi, a high school student who comes from a lineage of ogres, enjoys a peaceful, ordinary life until his childhood friend, Nico, moves in with him. Nico is a witch-in-training, and chooses Morihito to be her familiar. While Nico is thrilled to reunite with her old friend and crush, Morihito is tasked with the perilous duty to protect her from a foretold calamity. Between the unpredictable chaos caused by Nico’s magic, and the awkwardness of sharing a home, their lives become a whirlwind of supernatural hijinks and threats.
