Four-and-a-half years since it first began serialisation, the manga “The Cafe Terrace and its Goddesses” (Megami no Cafe Terrace) is finally reaching its end.
The manga’s creator, Kouji Seo, announced the news on his official X (formerly Twitter) account, which included an illustration of the five main female characters of the series in front of the titular Cafe Terrace storefront.
The 271st and final chapter will be published in the 46th issue of Kodansha’s Weekly Shounen Magazine on 29 October.
What is “The Cafe Terrace and its Goddesses” all about?
“The Cafe Terrace and its Goddesses” began serialisation in February 2021, with an English release licensed by Kodansha USA in September 2022. So far, the series has been collected into 20 tankobon volumes as of July 2025.
The manga received an anime adaptation in 2022, which was produced by Tezuka Productions with Satoshi Kuwabara as director, Keiichiro Ochi as script writer, and Matsatsune Noguchi as character designer. The anime had 12 total episodes, and was followed by a second season that aired in 2024.
