A brand new key visual has been released.
We have some unfortunate news for Dorohedoro fans. Even though previously it was announced that the sequel of the anime will air in 2025, the date has now changed. In a recent update, the official website and social media of the series has announced that Dorohedoro Season 2 is coming out in Spring 2026. A specific date is yet to be determined.
Dorohedoro Season 2 details
Other than the change in release date, not much else has been announced about the upcoming season. A brand new anatomical key visual has been revealed, which features the protagonist Caiman and other characters from the anime. The key visual also reveals that the anime’s second season, much like its predecessor, will stream globally on Netflix.
Yuichiro Hayashi continues to direct the series at MAPPA. The first season of the anime came out back in 2020. The series is based on Q Hayashida’s manga series of the same name. Viz Media publishes the manga in English and describes the story as:
In a city so dismal it's known only as "the Hole," a clan of Sorcerers have been plucking people off the streets to use as guinea pigs for atrocious "experiments" in the black arts. In a dark alley, Nikaido found Caiman, a man with a reptile head and a bad case of amnesia. To undo the spell, they're hunting and killing the Sorcerers in the Hole, hoping that eventually they'll kill the right one. But when En, the head Sorcerer, gets word of a lizard-man slaughtering his people, he sends a crew of "cleaners" into the Hole, igniting a war between two worlds.
