Three new voice actors have joined the show’s cast.
Based on Nana Nanana’s popular light novel series Danjo no Yūjō wa Seiritsu Suru? (Iya, Shinai!!) or Can a Boy–Girl Friendship Hold Up? (No, It Can't!!) anime series just got a new update. The official YouTube and X (formerly Twitter) account of the show have revealed a short preview video, giving fans the first look into the upcoming romcom series. Moreover, the opening theme song and additional cast members have also been announced.
According to the latest announcement, the voice actors who will be joining the projects are:
- Kō Bonkobara (Yukio Ishikari in Blue Lock, Tsutomu in Dead Dead Demons Dededede Destruction) as Shinji Makishima
- Masaaki Mizunaka (Kazumitsu Akiu in Haiakyu!!, Yukinari Arima in Wind Breaker) as Hibari Inuzaka
- Hisako Kanemoto (Nozomi Kujo in Bleach, Connie Lee in Dr. Stone) as Sakura Natsume
The main three cast members of the anime include: Kikunosuke Toya as Yuu Natsume, Sayume Suzushiro as Himari Inuzaka and Yuka Nukui as Rion Enomoto. Animated by Studio J.C. Staff, the series is being directed by Yohei Suzuki. Yaemorinozu is writing the scripts with Natsuki Ōyama as the character designer and Jun Ichikawa as the music composer. The opening theme song of the series is ‘Shitsumon, Koitte Nandeshō ka?’ performed by HoneyWorks featuring HaKoniwalily. The ending theme song is ‘Dear My Soleil’, performed by Hina Tachibana.
The story of Can a Boy–Girl Friendship Hold Up? (No, It Can't!!) revolves around a plant-loving guy named Yuu Natsume. His best friend since middle school is Himari Inuzuka, who is also a member of the gardening club alongside him. They have promised to be each other’s friends forever. However, when Yuu’s first crush Rion joins their school, Himari wonders if she can keep her promise to be an ideal friend to Yuu with her developing feelings for him.
