A new trailer and key visual have also been revealed.
Everyone was ready for another amazing original sports anime series in the Summer 2025 anime season with Turkey! The series, which was supposed to revolve around five girls and their struggle to take their bowling club to the top. But when the first episode aired on 8 July, fans were shocked to find out that the series is not at all what it seemed to be. Its massive twist ending has left people astounded.
The official website and X (formerly Twitter) account of the anime has already revealed a new title, several new characters, and a more fitting trailer to commemorate the rest of the series' journey.

Turkey! anime new cast, story, and other details
The new title of the series is Turkey! Time to Strike. At the end of episode 1, the five main girls are transported into the past where war is brewing. This shocking revelation also came with new cast members, which includes:
- Sumomo voiced by Noriko Hidaka
- Akebi voiced by Yūko Minaguchi
- Suguri voiced by Kikuko Inoue
- Anzu voiced by Miki Itō
- Natsume voiced by Rei Sakuma
The previously announced main voice cast includes:
- Mai Otonashi voiced by Hana Hishikawa
- Rina Godai voiced by Kana Ichinose
- Sayuri Ichinose voiced by Haruki Iwata
- Nozomi Mitaka voiced by Yuuki Temma
- Nanase Nikaido voiced by Ayasa Itō
Susumu Kudo directs the anime under Pony Canyon, with Naomi Hiruta writing the scripts. Airi Takekawa is the chief animation director and character designer. Pony Canyon is handling music production while Bakken Records is in charge of animation. The new trailer shows the girls meeting an ancient Japanese warrior and several other characters in the other world.
However, it looks like that they will continue with their sport as part of the story. Pony Canyon now describes the original anime as:
The story is set at the bowling club of Ikkokukan High School in Nagano Prefecture. Mai, the club captain, values having fun with everyone over winning. But her junior, Rina, pushes back, saying, “I want to win.” When Rina threatens to quit the club, Mai tries to talk her down—but Rina challenges her to a one-game match. Suddenly, the bowling ball begins to glow, and the five club members are enveloped in a mysterious light…When they wake up—They've somehow time traveled to the Sengoku era!?
