Young Ladies Don’t Play Fighting Games story and other details

The original manga series is written by Eri Ejima and started back in 2020 on Media Factory's Monthly Comic Flapper magazine. It was also adapted into a live-action web drama in 2023. Seven Seas Entertainment has licensed the English-version of the manga.

The story revolves around Aya Mitsuki, a young girl who enters the prestigious Kuromi Girls’ Academy on a scholarship. Her reason behind this is to become like her idol Mio Yorue aka ‘Shirayuri-sama’, who is a well-behaved, lovely, and polite young woman. However, Mitsuki soon learns that Shirayuri is actually a foul-mouthed, hot-tempered gamer who loves ruthlessly defeating rookies. In a school where video games are banned, Mitsuki reignites her old passion of fighting games thanks to Mio and the two start a friendship. This comedic anime will definitely be a treat for those who love yuri anime.
