The mathematical cooking anime is set to make viewers hungry in July.

The upcoming adaptation of Yugo Kobayashi’s manga of the same name, Fermat’s Cuisine, has revealed a broadcast window: July 2025! However, no exact date has been set as of yet.

The news comes with a new teaser visual and promotional video that hints at what viewers can expect from the show.

Fermat’s Cuisine broadcast details and other information

Fermat’s Cuisine will be broadcast on the IMANimation slot on 24 TV Asahi affiliated stations in Japan starting this July. Currently, there is no confirmation if the anime will receive simulcasts from any of the anime broadcasters serving global audiences.

Fermat’s Cuisine recently announced its main cast, with Ryosuke Tomita taking on the role of Gaku Kitada, while Taito Ban is set to perform as Kai Asakura. No official staff has been revealed, and the studio behind the animated project is still yet to be known. We can expect more information at the upcoming AnimeJapan 2025 event, which is set to occur on 23 March, 2025.

Fermat’s Cuisine received a live-action television drama adaptation back in 2023. The manga has been serialised in Kodansha’s Monthly Shonen Magazine since September 2018, with a total four volumes being released since September 2023.

The synopsis of the story, according to MyAnimeList, is as follows:

Kitada Gaku, a young man who once aspired to uncover the world's truths through mathematics, finds himself at a crossroads after failing to achieve his dream of competing in the Math Olympiad. With his scholarship revoked, he spends his days working at a school cafeteria, struggling with a sense of aimlessness.

Everything changes when he meets a brilliant chef who introduces him to the fascinating intersection of mathematics and cooking. As Gaku embarks on this unexpected journey, he is drawn into a culinary world that's as complex and precise as mathematics itself.

A unique and inspiring story where numbers and flavors blend to reveal the beauty of discovery, Mathematics Meets Cuisine opens the door to a new world of gourmet adventure.
