Bachira and Otoya stand as a formidable wall against NagiReo.
Just as one match ends, another one starts getting interesting. The latest chapter of Muneyuki Kaneshiro’s manga gave us a good look at Isagi’s success as he got the same 240 million Yen offer as Rin. However, the match between Manshine City and Barch, which will decide everyone else’s worth, hasn’t yet ended in the manga. The battle between Reo, Nagi, and Bachira, Otoya is only getting more interesting. But can Nagi finally overcome the plateau he’s stuck in?
Spoiler Alert: The article contains massive spoilers from the manga.

The chapter begins with Barou looking at the screen in his team’s dressing room. He is ecstatic to see Isagi’s new offer as his fire to overcome the protagonist is lit once again. Isagi, on the other hand, feels exalted after finally reaching his goal. He feels vindicated after crushing all the geniuses with his logic and feels that he’s still evolving. He is fired up to reach the top of the football world. The next panel focuses on Bachira, who says that the monster has arrived.
We then see another breathtaking play. Bachira sidesteps all the Manshine City players, including Reo, and scores a phenomenal goal. With the scores between the two teams now even, Lavinho and Prince join the match to help their respective teams. When the match begins, we see Nagi losing focus and wondering what he can do in this situation. When he gets the ball, he makes an impressive play. However, it’s intercepted by Otoya, who has already gotten used to such plays from the genius. With Lavinho’s help, Bachira gives an incredible pass to Otoya. The boy forces his way through the opponents and scores another goal, making the score 2-1 in Barcha’s favour.

Although Chigiri’s goal gave Manshine City a leg-up, they’re now behind Barcha by one goal. Nagi realises that he needs to get fired up to compete on the world stage, but doesn’t understand how to do it right now. Suddenly, Reo approaches him and says that the new team-centered play method isn’t working for them. He says that they need to do something exciting now. If they score goals and turn the match around, they’ll be the center of the world, and that’s a good enough reason to get Nagi fired up. Reo says that he will become anything to stand at the top of the world with Nagi. In the end, Nagi thinks about how strong and dazzling Reo is.
Blue Lock Chapter 296 review

Image: Kodansha/ Muneyuki Kaneshiro/Yusuke Nomura
NagiReo nation, how are we doing? Even after everything that happened in the manga, Seishiro Nagi and Reo Mikage have remained my favourite duo. The latest chapter once again provided me with another reason to love them. Reo never gives up on Nagi, even if they’re falling behind. Nagi, on the other hand, believes that he can run ahead if Reo is by his side. They’ve proved time and again how strong their bond is, and I can’t wait to see what new moves the Chameleon and the Genius cook up next. As much as I adore Bachira and his playstyle, I am rooting for Reo and Nagi to take this win. The art style of the manga once again elevated the overall tense mood of the storyline, making it an incredible read.
