The upcoming fantasy anime has also released a key visual and teaser promotional video.
The anime television adaptation of The Banished Court Magician Aims to Become the Strongest has been announced, and has revealed a teaser visual and teaser promotional video, as well as the staff working behind the show, and the voice actor behind the main character. The anime is set to release sometime in October 2025, although no exact date has been announced as of yet.

The anime has only thus far revealed the voice actor behind the main character, Alec, with Shuichiro Umeda taking on the role. Umeda previously voiced Kazuhiko Nukumizu in Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines, and Yu Izumi in Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie.
The animation production for The Banished Court Magician is being handled by studio GEKKOU, with Ken Takahashi slated as director. Masamune Hirata takes on the role of assistant director, while Kazuyuki Fudeyasu is in charge of series composition and scripts. The rest of the staff is as follows:

The Banished Court Magician plot and other details
The Banished Court Magician Aims to Become the Strongest is a series of light novels written by Alto and illustrated by Yuunagi. It was originally posted to the Shosetsuka ni Naro self-publishing website in October 2020, but began publication through Kodansha in August 2021. A manga adaptation, illustrated by Yuki Monji, has been serialised under Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket service since July 2021, and has since compiled 15 volumes as of 2025.
Kodansha’s manga reading app, Kmanga, officially describes the plot of the story as:
“I don’t need a worthless mage who can only use support magic. You’re fired.”
Alec, a court magician who supported the crown prince from behind the scenes, suddenly finds himself exiled from the royal court. Now jobless, he pays the magic academy a visit and runs into Yorha, one of his party members from his school days. Their renowned party once set a record in the royal dungeon—and now it’s time to reunite and start a whole new legend!
